Cellular Amplifiers/Repeaters (BDAs)
Repeater Systems
The Bi-Directional Amplifer/Repeater amplifies and repeats the outside
cellular signal inside your building. The amplified signal is repeated via
an indoor antenna. Likewise, the signal from your phone is repeated outside.
Several models are available for
iDEN (Nextel, Southern
LINC, Mike),
800MHz Cellular,
and 1900
MHz PCS
including in building and in vehicle models.
If you would like our engineers to help design an amplifier system for
your building, please complete our
Amplifier Questionnaire (PDF).
Features:
- Advanced Electronics Receive & Transmit Better Than Your Cellular Phone
- Significantly Increases Your Cellular Phone's Range on Send & Receive
- High Output Power allows more Users on the System
- Safer Than Using Your Cellular Phone Without An Amplifier
- Extends the Life of Your Cellular Phone Battery
- FCC Type Accepted

A typical amplifier installation consists of the outdoor (donor) antenna
connected by a length of LMR-400 Ultra Low Loss Cable to the amplifier. The amplifier
is then connected to the interior antenna. To protect the amplifier from lightning
strikes to the outdoor antenna, a coax lightning protector is recommended.
Options:
- Lightning
Suppressor: Used to protect amplifier against lightning strikes
to the outdoor antenna
- Splitters:
Used to drive multiple interior antennas with a single amplifier. To drive
multiple antennas you may need to move to a larger amplifier.
- Outdoor Coverage: Our systems can be used to provide improved
outdoor coverage. Please contact our for more
engineering
team information.
Coverage: System coverage is dependant upon both the gain of the
amplifier and the strength of the signal outside. Typically, if you are in
an area with poor signal you are going to need the higher gain amplifiers.
Areas of with good, strong signal can usually use the medium gain amplifiers.
If you are unsure of which amplifier to select, contact our
engineering team.
